Once, when I was young (and that was some time ago), I openly said that I was not a fan of novels in which romance was the leitmotif. Years later, when several such books have passed through my hands, I still know that this literature is not for me.

To this is added this devilishly handsome brunette, that is, Robillard - theoretically married - and practically looking for another incarnation of his wife Elizabeth, and Caroline, who suddenly assumed the function of patron (something like the vampire aristocracy). Explosive mixture... that would be if it weren't for the fact that there really isn't much going on in the novel besides these love themes.


In addition, the repeated repetition of "Barbara, Barbara, Barbara" does not convince me at all.

The author has focused on unfulfilled love, having werewolves or mysterious vampire prophecies at his disposal, which can certainly be expanded. Even the Patrons seemed like an episodic plot in the characters' heart problems. The book doesn't appeal to me. Of all the three, the second part was definitely the best.

The characters were also written for a "single appearance". Only selfish Angelina, she was so funny that she was remembered and somehow different from the rest. Dialogues?
